Product Introduction
New polymer defoamers that replace well-known standards in both solvent-based and solvent-free systems.
As key raw materials for BYK-051 N, BYK-052 N, and BYK-053 N were discontinued, we developed alternatives with near-identical performance. The new products keep the same chemistry and results while removing aromatic solvents, resulting in slight parameter differences.
Both are silicone-free with strong, spontaneous defoaming. BYK-1851 offers slightly better compatibility; BYK-1852 is more efficient and works at lower dosages, especially in medium- to low-polarity systems. Neither product harms interlayer adhesion during recoating.
