Product Introduction
High-activity silicone surface additive with excellent dynamic performance and very low foam stabilization.
Achieving surface qualities—substrate wetting, smoothness, anti-cratering, and anti-float—for coatings and inks requires lowering surface tension. Polyether‑modified PDMS additives sharply reduce static surface tension; fast printing, spray, and inkjet processes also need low dynamic surface tension. BYK-379 was developed for printing and inkjet inks to deliver strong dynamic performance with surface effects comparable to classic high-reactivity silicones. Its comb structure lowers both static and dynamic surface tension, works in water-based, solvent-based, and UV systems, and shows broad compatibility. It barely stabilizes foam and is highly effective even at low dosage.
