Application of building materials, particularly in conjunction with polycarboxylate ether-based concrete admixtures.
High-performance water reducers improve concrete flow and workability, but they often stabilize foam—especially polycarboxylate types—preventing the mix from reaching full strength.
Defoamers are therefore required, yet many suffer from compatibility issues that can cause phase separation, and their effectiveness fades over time.
BYK-1680 delivers strong compatibility in aqueous polymer solutions and building-material formulations while providing long-lasting, stable defoaming performance.
